This game is an extension on Concentration. It is not for the light hearted.
Students sit in a circle. Set up a rhythm – slap knees, clap, click right, click left. Or you can use the same movement as in Concentration.
One student begins by saying a word on the second click. The next student must say a word beginning with the last letter of the previous student’s word (on the second click).
OR
One student begins by saying a word on the second click, that starts a story. The next student must say a word to continue the story (on the second click).
If doing the story variation, discuss guidelines or possible story themes. The teacher could even call out when the story is reached the middle, resolution or climax.
Variation
Hold up alphabet cards. The students do the actions and keep the rhythm but say words that begin with the letter being held up.
Online version is played in the same way.
