An improv activity that develops language skills and creates interesting stories.
The last letter of a sentence is used as the first letter of the next sentence.
Example:
“Welcome to my home.”
“Echoes a bit doesn’t it.”
“That’s the ghost.” and so on
Options
Can be done by the entire class, small groups or pairs.
The teacher could note the letter to be used while students get used to the idea.
Could limit discussion to a topic or book.
Could help with spelling and vocabulary by giving words to be used and just having the students thinking about what letter comes where.
Points could be given for creating sentences.
If the class are doing this, teacher could indicate when a problem or ending should be happening.
