An improv warm up activity, gets the voice going and everyone relaxed.
The students sit in a circle. Someone starts by saying in gibberish a word or phrase to the person next to them and using appropriate gestures as they talk.
This student gives an English explanation of what was just said. They then turn to the person next to them and say in gibberish a work or phrase, using appropriate gestures as they talk. This is repeated until everyone has had a turn.
Options
Students can be given cards of the word they are to explain in gibberish.
Words and ideas could relate to a topic or book.
